A 20 minuti dalle spiagge lucane e a 30 minuti da Matera, Villa Verde nasce come un antico casolare di campagna nelle terre di Caporotondo, dove i miei bisnonni vivevano e lavoravano la terra, traendo dal raccolto tutto ciò che serviva per vivere.

Alberi d'olivo, alberi da frutto e il lavoro della terra sfamavano intere famiglie circa centocinquanta anni fa.

Una casa semplice, legata ai ritmi della natura e al valore del lavoro agricolo.

 

Oggi quel casolare è stato ristrutturato e valorizzato, mantenendo le mura , il camino, le nicchie, come una volta cosi' da rendere viva la sua anima originaria.

Gestita a livello familiare, Villa Verde è diventata un luogo dedicato al relax e all’ospitalità, dove il passato contadino incontra il comfort e la tranquillità della campagna.

Just 20 minutes from the beaches of Basilicata and 30 minutes from Matera, Villa Verde was born as an old country farmhouse in the lands of Caporotondo, where my great-grandparents lived and worked the soil, drawing from their harvest everything they needed to survive.

Olive trees, fruit trees, and the labor of the land sustained entire families about one hundred and fifty years ago.

A simple home, rooted in the rhythms of nature and in the value of agricultural work.

Today, that farmhouse has been carefully restored and enhanced, preserving its original walls, fireplace, and niches, just as they once were, keeping its authentic soul alive.

Family-run, Villa Verde has become a place devoted to relaxation and hospitality, where the rural past meets modern comfort and the peacefulness of the countryside.
